HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT | |
Job Description Assists in the assurance of compliance by all governing agencies i.e. EDD, DFEH, DOL, IRCA, DHS, ACA, etc. through the recordkeeping and maintenance of applicable documentation and records. Recommends policy and procedure changes as applicable based on trends and human resource activity. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing professional publications. Make recommendations for changes and revisions of the Employee handbook and communicates them to the HR Director. Completes Human Resource tactical assignments i.e. time clock management, scheduling and maintaining electronic files and HRIS systems. Assists HR Director with appropriate resolution of employee relations issues as needed. Assists HR Director with the administration of the performance management and employee recognition programs. Assists in the processing of payroll for weekly temps and semimonthly employees. Maintains appropriate level of confidentiality of information processed. Assists with the administration of all Benefits related activities and Affordable Care Act reporting. Assists with recruitment efforts, including but not limited to scheduling interviews, conducting interviews and onboarding activities. Prepares temporary agency staff documentation, new employee hire paperwork, leave and separation notices and any other employment related documentation as needed. Performs other related duties as required. | |
Skills Required BA Degree. 5 yrs exp in Human Resources. Working knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to HR. Familiar with HRIS software and MS Word, Excel and Outlook. | |
Skills Preferred Payroll experience preferred. |
