Job Description
Improve and manage Food Safety and Quality systems to ensure product food safety including specifications, preventive controls, and test methods. Develop and maintain food safety and Quality Systems including GFSI, HACCP, FSMA, Internal Audits, Recall, Traceability, Environmental Monitoring, Allergen Control programs. Analyze data, identify opportunities, and report on trends to drive progress toward food safety metrics including Foreign Material Incidents. Manage new product transfer from product development and ensure robust systems in place to support new manufacturing processes and products. Manage food safety data and processes within Product Lifecycle Management and Laboratory Information Management programs to drive streamlining within the food safety realm. Deliver food safety and technical support to departments throughout the organization. Craft and develop food safety education and training tools. Contribute to quality system reviews and actively participate in defining solutions. Analyze and report on data to communicate to Management and Departmental Teams. Support continuous improvement projects and cross-functional quality initiatives. Adhere to GMPs, Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety Regulations consistently. Interface with staff regarding changes in procedures to promote consistency throughout department teams.
Skills Required
Bachelors Degree in Food Science or similar field.4 years exp in food processing andor Quality Assurance. Knowledge of food safety programs, HACCP plan management, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Skills Preferred
HACCP Certification required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
